About Warringah

Warringah is an affluent electorate on Sydney's lower north shore and lower northern beaches. Covering 56 sq.km, the main suburbs include Allambie, Allambie Heights, Balgowlah, Balgowlah Heights, Balmoral, Beacon Hill, Brookvale, Curl Curl, Dee Why, Fairlight, Forestville, Harbord, Killarney Heights, Manly, Manly Vale, North Manly, Mosman, Queenscliff and Seaforth.

Seat Background

Created in 1922 and always conservative held. It is named after the area in which it was created.

Former member Percy Spender, who was Minister for External Affairs under Menzies, Australia's ambassador to the United States and a Justice on the International Court of Justice is perhaps this seat's most distinguished parliamentary representative.
