About Moore
Moore (WA) covers an urban, coastal area of 78 sq km from Burns and Kinross in the north to Waterman in the south. Larger suburbs include Duncraig, Hillarys, Heathridge, Mullaloo, Ocean Reef and Padbury.
It is mainly a residential area with no significant industries.
Seat Background
Moore is named after George Fletcher Moore, the first Advocate-General in Western Australia. Held by former GP, Mal Washer for the Liberals, this seat has only once been held for the Labor Party since its inception in 1949.
