About Casey

Casey is takes in the extreme eastern suburbs of Melbourne. It covers an area of 411 sq km from Ringwood East in the west to Seville East in the east, to Coldstream in the north to Monbulk in the south.

Seat Background

Casey is named after Lord Richard Casey, a former Governor-General of Australia from 1965 to 1969. It is held for the Liberal Party by Tony Smith who succeeded former health minister, Michael Wooldridge as the incumbent.
