About Bonner
Bonner covers 358 sq km and was contested for the first time at the 2004 election. Its northern boundary follows the Brisbane River from the Gateway Bridge in the west to Moreton Island in the east. Bonner streches south covering Lytton, Wynnum, Carindale, Gumdale, Mackenzie, Mt Gravatt, Wishart, Burbank and Rochedale.
Bonner is an outer metropolitan area which includes the Port of Brisbane and light industrial areas in Murrarie, Hemmant and Lytton. It includes the large shopping complexes of Carindale and Garden City.
The seat is one of two Queensland divisions whose boundaries were unaffected by the recent redistribution.
