What Women Want candidate for Stirling
Stirling Candidate for What Women Want Party
Why I am standing
Women make up over 50% of the poulation but their voices are not heard by government! Many members know this as like myself (a nurse, midwife) we have lobbied state and federal governments about evidence based health care and other reforms for nearly 2 decades!
(Statement provided by candidate)
Important issues in my electorate
Osborne Park hospital maternity units future is uncertain whereas it could offer healthy women the choice of continuous care by a known midwife which evidence shows results in less medical intervention in childbirth, saves money and is the most empowering beginning for a new family!
(Statement provided by candidate)
Important policy documents
What Women Want is a party who is concerned about the increasing disparities in our society; the gaps between rich and poor, powerful and powerless! The drive for the economic imperative and stock market profits rather than sustainable, collaborative evidence based social programs like equal access to quality education and health care!
