Craig Bossie
Australian Democrats candidate for Boothby
Why I am standing
I am running because I believe my experience in local church ministry, disability services, overseas aid and national security has put me in touch with a vast range of issues affecting all Australians. My broad experience and qualifications have equipped me to represent Boothby and multicultural Australia on local, national and international issues.
(Statement provided by candidate)
Important issues in my electorate
I would lobby for federal funding to embark on a climate friendly transport system. I would specifically campaign to fund the necessary infrastructure to redirect the rail freight service around the Adelaide Hills from Murray Bridge to Mallala. I would work to take the stress off Flinders Medical Centre by lobbying to increase the number of primary health care centres in the electorate.
(Statement provided by candidate)
Important policy documents
Major policies include transport, hospitals and health care, climate change and water management, national security and industrial relations. Support for the disabled and the elderly, and their carers is also a key issue.
