Neerav Bhatt
The Australian Greens candidate for Werriwa
Why I am standing
As Greens candidate for the seat of Werriwa, Neerav Bhatt believes the critical issue is climate change.
“Climate change must be addressed urgently because it has an effect on so many other policies including transport, agriculture, forestry, tourism and energy security. Talk of developing clean coal or introducing nuclear power are diversions. We need to invest in and implement clean, sustainable energies because if we don’t there will be a disastrous impact on our society and the planet.”
After completing a Business Computing degree at UWS, Neerav has run his own successful IT business specialising in Internet Marketing with customers from around Australia, UK and USA, the largest customer being Google.
Having actively participated in Greens campaigns since joining the party in 2002, including assisting in the launch of the Fairfield-Liverpool Greens website, he still finds time to pursue other passions including reading, movies, running, bush walking, photography, backpacking in Europe and the Australian outback.
