Why I am standing

I am a single mother of teenage twins with a 35 year passion for justice, freedom and democracy that I pursue in my community and as a Democrat.
I am standing for election because Australia needs the Australian Democrats and democracy is about taking Responsibility, standing up to be counted, as well as Rights.
The Australian Democrats are forging a new and unique political path that harnesses the value of diversity and enables democratic, evidence based solutions for a progressive, healthy society.
Australian Democrats need to be elected, especially in the Senate,to foster our diverse, creative & talented communities to recover from the errors of the 20th Century and build hope for all in the 21st.

Important issues in my electorate

The growth of population happening and predicted for this area means we are in more urgent need of sustainable infrastructure and community services.
Communities in Page are very creative, caring and hardworking. What we need is government support and vision.
Even if we don't win government, Democrats can go on making whoever does accountable to provide that, if we are elected to the Senate.

Important policy documents

We must deal with Global warming now. Democrats have been addressing our climate crisis for 20 years, with solutions that have been ignored by government. Now voters are aware of our planetary crisis they can choose those solutions by voting Democrat.
Nuclear has not become conveniently safe in the last 30 years, Democrats in the Senate are our best protection from a nuclear future.
Universally accessible public education from Pre-school to Post-school is the key to a healthy, sustainable and free society and future.
