The Australian Greens candidate for Page

Why I am standing

I'm running to give people the chance to vote for a party with a positive, sustainable plan for the future. I don't want my children and grandchildren to be saddled with having to pay for and clean up the mess that our generation is creating by our short-sighted greed.

(Statement provided by candidate)

Important issues in my electorate

Page is one of the areas of Australia in greatest need of Government services. The tax cuts proposed by both the Coalition and the ALP may be good for wealthy Sydney-siders, but disadvantage us.
Renewable energy projects will produce local wealth and employment.

(Statement provided by candidate)

Important policy documents

We must take real, concrete steps to reduce our Greenhouse Gas emissions:
Stimulate the growth of renewable energy infrastructure (solar, wind, wave and geothermal projects);
Less corporate welfare for the coal industry;
No new coal mines or coal-fired power stations;
Government programs, loans and rebates to increase electricity and water efficiency;
No Nuclear power!
