Christian Democratic Party candidate for Tangney
I decided to enter politics to stand for what I believe in and to contribute to the political process. I believe that it is the plurality of perspectives that makes for a healthy democracy.
My motivation in standing as a candidate is to ensure that those who are concerned about the decline in moral values within the political system have an alternative for their vote.

2. The issues important in Tangney are also the ones which face the whole country - the economy, the environment, health and education, but also in particular the abortion/pro-life issue and immigration. Tangney is one of the electorates with the highest asian population in WA, and is generally more conservative on the political spectrum. There are many in Tangney who are against the Medicare funding of abortion and the introduction of the RU486 abortion pill. In general the different races/cultures in Tangney live and work together very harmoniously, and there doesn't seem to be any problems with integration and assimilation. There is, however, some concern that in recent times immigration has focussed on other cultures/races who do not hold with Australian values and who are not prepared to integrate with mainstream Australians.
