Why I am standing

I was born and raised in Tasmania. I understand well the local needs as well as the tremendous potential and opportunity that Tasmania offers.

With the changes in the Tasmanian political landscape there is a new opportunity for Tasmanians to elect someone to represent their interests on the national agenda with passion and conviction.

I am passionate about health, families, business, education, and the environment. All of these areas need a strong, uncompromising voice in Canberra, that continues to promote the welfare and well-being of all Tasmanians. My unique combination of professional experience, community involvement and family commitments places me in an exceptional position to present a balanced voice for all Tasmanians.

While other parties represent groups such as big business, trade unions and the environment, FAMILY FIRST is the only party that has as its top priority the well being of Australian families and the success of small businesses.
Therefore at FAMILY FIRST:
• We believe Australia should be the best country in the world to raise a family.
• We are passionate about families and small businesses; two groups which do not have a strong voice in Parliament.
• We will promote family values and campaigns on the issues that really matter to families and small businesses. Issues like:

Improving job security and workplace conditions

Reducing unacceptably high petrol and grocery prices

Helping Australians afford their own home
• We will lobby for sensible solutions to improve legislation and get the best outcomes for families and small businesses.
