Socialist Alliance candidate for Pearce

Candidate, Pearce

Why I am standing

This election is being fought on economics. But economics for whom? For the business elite or the vast majority of Australians? Economics for what? For the fossil fuel mafia or for the well-being of the planet?
We represent the interests of the majority of Australians, the people who produce the country's wealth and keep it running. We have the long-term interests of the planet at heart.

(Statement provided by candidate)

Important issues in my electorate

Immediate action on climate change; Serious resources to Landcare; A single desk for wheat exports; Justice for Indigenous Australians.

(Statement provided by candidate)

Tear up ALL of Work Choices; No to nuclear, phase out coal, renewable energy now; Make poverty history, make health and education free and accessible; Serious action on housing; Troops out of Iraq AND Afghanistan; Indigenous land rights, not land grabs; An end to discrimination; Protect civil liberties.
