About Fadden

It covers an area of approximately 591 sq km from Burbank and Victoria Point in the north to Helensvale and Biggera Waters in the south. The suburbs include Coombabah, Coomera, Helensvale, Macleay Island, Paradise Point, Pimpama, Redland Bay, Rochedale South, Runaway Bay, Russell Island, Shailer Park, Springwood, and Woongoolba.
The area is mainly residential with some market gardens, sugar cane farming and tourism. The area has experienced a huge increase in population in the 10 years between 1991 and 2001, growing by 69%.

Seat Background

Created 1977 it was named after Sir Arthur Fadden (1895-1973), Prime Minister of Australia (August-October 1941).
