Due to the recent redistribution make the seat marginally Liberal, Con Sciacca has decided to contest the newly created seat of Bowman.

Commentary and Analysis

At present there are six declared candidates for Bowman. Liberal candidate in the 2001 election, Dr Andrew Laming is running again for the Liberal Party. Laming has spent most of last years continuing to campaign and continues to have a high profile. The Labor candidate is Donna Webster an organiser from the Australian Services Union who resides on one of the local islands in the bay. Other candidates are Robert Bromwich (Dems), Mal Cayley (Family First), Paula Nadas (Greens) and Joe Ross (Nat)

Preferences will be the key to this seat and the Liberals would be hoping that there is a tight flow from the National Party. Whoever wins government will probably hold this seat. Sticking our neck out expect a Liberal gain.

Issues

Roads, Health, Family issues & Aged Care.
